The WALDKAUZ cartridge case made of our highly versatile oiled nubuck leather is not only visually appealing but also exceptionally well-crafted and sturdy. It addresses a significant drawback of traditional leather cartridge cases: when the ammunition remains in direct contact with the leather for extended periods, the brass surface of the casing, and worse, the projectile, begins to corrode. This is where felt cartridge cases have had a clear advantage. We have designed the inner area of the case in such a way that the ammunition rests on a felt bed and the projectiles are additionally covered with felt from above. This minimizes the contact between leather and cartridge. Unsightly discoloration and surface changes, as commonly seen in other leather cases, are thus avoided.
Small loop (small caliber): from .22 lfb to .222 or 5.6x50
Used, for example, in the cartridge cases "Drilling" as the smallest loop (e.g., for .22 Win. Mag., .22 Hornet, .222 Rem.)
Medium loop (large bullet): .222 or 5.6x50 to .338 Win Mag
Suitable for the "normal" hunting calibers commonly used in Germany (e.g., 5.6x50 R Mag., 7x65 R, 8x57 IS, .308 Win, .30-06, .375 H&H, 7mm Remington Mag., etc.)
Large loop (shotshell): from Cal. 20 to Cal. 12
Caliber 20 fits a bit looser than calibers 16 and 12 but is also compatible.
