When the regular hunting seat bag becomes a burden - have you experienced that?

The long winter night sit waiting for wild boars or foxes that cause damage. Carrying the heavy and bulky package of the hunting seat bag along with other luggage in the hunting backpack, the rifle, and the binoculars through the landscape on the way to the raised hide. It's already too hot under the weight of the hunting seat bag in the warm winter jacket, and you start sweating before reaching the hide. Finally, with much effort, you reach the safety of the raised hide and the pleasant warmth of the  hunting sit bag. Hours later: Not a single animal has appeared in the area. Maybe they are on the field behind the small grove? A short stalk and another sit in a different spot would be a plan now, but packing everything, rolling up the hunting seat bag, and carrying all that burden again? That's not exactly the ideal scenario. How convenient would it be if your jacket and hunting seat bag were one unit, eliminating the need for packing and allowing you to simply march on...

The ingenious solution: Hunting seat bag and loden coat in one!

We have a great solution for the problem described above, which many hunters are all too familiar with: Our hunting seat bag "Petz" is a practical combination of hunting seat bag and hunting coat!
It is made from particularly warm, fluffy blanket loden made of pure virgin wool. As a result, it does not require any padding or lining and is much thinner and lighter, weighing less than 2 kg, compared to traditional hunting seat bags. It fits perfectly into most backpacks, so you don't have to carry an additional bag with you. But what's even better: It doesn't have to be in your backpack most of the time because you can already put it on at the beginning of the hunt! In terms of basic cut, it is almost like a large loden coat. It has long and voluminous sleeves that can be easily pulled over your winter jacket and a generous high-closing collar.
Once you have "entered" and closed it with the zipper, you can simply open the foot section from below and fasten it to the designated leather hooks around your waist. Granted, it may look a little unfashionable, and the cut could be described as expansive, but you're not wearing it to take your wife to dinner. The true value will become immediately apparent to you with the first few steps: You can walk and carry the PETZ as a full-fledged coat! You can still wear your hunting backpack as usual, shoulder the rifle, and move around normally. Once you reach the next hunting stand, you release the foot section, insert your feet, and zip it closed – warmth immediately spreads inside again.

Optimal thermal regulation in all temperatures

The warmth inside a hunting seat bag depends heavily on the outside temperature. Often, it can become too warm inside even in mild cold weather. However, the PETZ hunting seat bag is thin and has excellent climatic properties due to its composition. It is warm yet breathable. Its function is similar to layering in outdoor clothing, following the principle of wearing multiple layers like an onion. The first and second layers consist of regular clothing items worn close to the body, such as underwear, pants, shirt, and sweater. The third layer is a jacket that acts as the regulating outer shell, chosen based on the temperature and weather conditions. The PETZ hunting seat bag serves as the fourth layer, providing additional insulation. It is placed on top of the underlying or omitted jacket, defining the base warmth and acting as a winter skin.
On a cool spring evening, a sweater worn inside the hunting sit bag worn as a coat, is sufficient, and you don't have to take it off when moving around. In freezing January cold, when you already wear a well-insulated jacket, the additional layer of the loden material in the hunting seat bag supports and seals it, providing extra warmth. If it gets too warm, simply open the foot section or the collar to let fresh air in.

Warm details: Muff pockets, stand-up collar, glove cuffs, and shoulder reinforcements

When your hands get cold, you can make use of the practical glove cuffs with thumbholes, allowing full finger mobility when operating binoculars or a firearm. If that's not enough, the two front pockets, acting as muff pockets, provide ample space and warmth. Additionally, both pockets have a pass-through opening that allows access to the inside of the hunting seat bag. This way, you can reach the pockets of your hunting jacket or pants without letting the warmth escape. The high-closing collar is generously sized to accommodate a jacket collar as well. If it becomes too much, you can tighten it with the drawstring to prevent cold air from entering. Shoulder reinforcements made of tuchloden (twill fabric) are applied in addition to the deckenloden (blanket material) to absorb the friction caused by rifle and backpack straps.

Silent and flexible

The dimensions of the hunting seat bag are generously proportioned and will provide ample space for most adult men. Being large and wide is not a disadvantage in this case because excessive freedom of movement will not bother you, whether during the ansitz or while stalking. By completely avoiding any noise-causing components, you can move as silently as possible in the PETZ hunting seat bag.

Easy and quick to stow

After the hunt, the ansitzsack can be tightly rolled up from the neck opening. The loops at the foot end can then be fastened to the protruding leather hip hooks on the sides, keeping the roll together. No additional fasteners are needed. Alternatively, you can simply stuff the entire piece into your backpack, as opposed to most other large-volume ansitzsacks, it will fit in there!
