The "Schirmling" is a loden cap in the style of classic field caps that have proven themselves in the British and American military, park rangers, forestry, and the outdoor industry for ages. They differ from typical baseball caps, particularly in their shape, which is more cylindrical than "semi-spherical". We really like them because, unlike baseball caps, they have a more classic look. Worn a few times and crumpled in a backpack, they quickly acquire a nice fold and fit perfectly with our other loden hunting clothing.
The crown and the underside of the cap's visor are made of loden cloth, while the upper side of the visor is made of high-quality velour leather.
The excellent climate properties of loden cloth are beneficial in three ways: it regulates moisture, is breathable, and provides temperature balance. The flexible visor keeps the sun's rays away as well as shading moonlight, ensuring a clear view through binoculars and telescopic sights.
The "Schirmling" is available in a unisex one-size-fits-all, which can be adjusted to fit almost any head circumference with its adjustable Velcro closure. The closure strap is held by a leather loop, which also serves as a holder for the game tag.
Our Loden Cap "Schirmling" is available in three color variants: brown, moss green, and orange for driven hunts.
