Simple yet effective: Handcrafted lens hood made of robust wool felt with an elastic band.
Our lens hood for the eyepiece side of the rifle scope prevents the disturbing entry of moonlight and sunlight between the eyepiece and the eye. This is particularly helpful during nocturnal ambushes when the moon is behind the hunter or high in the sky. The hood adjusts to fit all common rifle scope eyepieces due to its elastic band. Simply slide it over the scope, and it won't interfere until you pull it into position when needed. The small anti-slip padding made of silicone rubber sewn inside reduces the risk of the hood unintentionally slipping off the scope unnoticed. All felt edges are meticulously stitched to prevent fraying.
Lens hood, "wide" model: Specifically designed for the new generation of rifle scopes
In recent years, many manufacturers have introduced a new class of rifle scopes distinguished by their particularly wide magnification ranges. Examples include the Swarovski Z6i series, Leica Magnus, and Zeiss Victory V8 scopes. The complex technical construction of such zoom ranges requires moving the illumination unit for the reticle to the eyepiece area, resulting in larger eyepiece diameters and often a turret-like structure on the top of the eyepiece. Our classic lens hood reaches its limits in these cases, which is why we have designed a special model for this type of rifle scopes. The recessed area in the felt now neatly wraps around the illumination unit, and a slightly larger diameter ensures a snug fit on the eyepiece.The "wide" lens hood is particularly suitable for the following rifle scopes:
