Night-time ambush on wild boars: It is wonderfully quiet. The moonlight makes the frost sparkle on the wide meadows in front of the high seat, creating a beautiful scene that makes you want to spend the whole night here and almost wish that the wild boars would take a little longer before the nocturnal idyll is interrupted by the aftermath of the shot.
Then, after an hour of waiting, the quietly lurking ambush hunter is puzzled by a faint red glow that starts to appear on both sides of the high seat walls and gradually becomes stronger. The mood changes as the huntsman realizes that it comes from the coverings of their own ears, which slowly begin to glow red – known as the last rebellion before the dreaded numbness.
Lucky is the one who has a WALDKAUZ Frostbeule, as it not only silently saves the chilly earlobes but also protects the head and the wearer from improper hypothermia, ensuring that the well-warmed hunter's head remains cool in the decisive moment.
The hood is attached to the back of the scarf and protects the head and ears from the cold. It can also be adjusted in width with a drawstring and can be worn loosely or tightly around the head like a hat. If it is not needed because it is still warm enough, it can be folded back like any other hood.
What's particularly nice about the design and the interaction of both parts is that the opening of the hood extends far back, allowing the ears to be "brought forward" and slightly pushed forward by the light tension of the fabric. Every hunter knows how much better you can hear when you bring the auricles forward with your hands! However, this only works when the tension of the drawstring is completely loosened. In the tightened state, the ears are covered by the fabric and well protected from the cold.

Covering from head to neck: Practical and silent heat hood
The "Frostbeule" is a combination of a loden loop, ear warmers, and a hat. A warm loop scarf made of soft loden fleece warms the neck and can be pulled up over the nose. It can be adjusted in width at its upper edge with an adjustable elastic drawstring. Admittedly, the hat is not considered fashionable headwear (it's a bump, after all), but it could hardly be more pragmatic.
