A pair of pants for all kinds of outdoor activities
Whether for hiking, camping, bushcraft, hunting, fishing, or simply for leisure - the Wanderbux is extremely versatile. Its comfortable cut provides freedom of movement, and the exterior pockets (two open front and back pockets, as well as two closable, flat side zip pockets) offer plenty of space for equipment. The belt loops can accommodate belts up to 4 cm wide, such as our "Unverwüstling" leather belt. The pants are secured with a zipper and a metal button. The Halbbux has a good, not too short length, reaching just above the knee.
Take a measuring tape and measure your waist size. Measure along the line where you wear your belt. The measuring tape should be placed loosely and without tension, and a shirt can still be tucked in as it will likely be worn inside the pants later. If you don't have a measuring tape, a piece of string can work as well; you can mark it and then measure it against a ruler or yardstick.
The optimal fabric for summer outdoor pants
Poly-cotton, also known as polycotton, combines the advantages of cotton and polyester. The fabric is lightweight and airy, with the pleasant feel of cotton, while being sturdy and robust, as expected from outdoor clothing. It dries quickly in the air and is resistant to UV radiation. In the warm season, this high-quality fabric combination has an additional important advantage: it is breathable and very comfortable to wear in warm temperatures. Additionally, polycotton can be machine-washed effortlessly at temperatures up to 40°C. We use selected, high-quality polycotton from European production.PFC-free water-repellent pre-impregnation
The fabric comes pre-equipped with PFC-free water-repellent impregnation. PFC-free impregnations are environmentally friendly because they do not leave non-biodegradable residues in nature, but they need to be refreshed from time to time. We recommend re-impregnating with a wax block and heat, for example, using the Dr. Gees Impregnation Wax that we offer. Simply rub the wax onto the fabric like an eraser and use a low heat iron to liquefy and incorporate the wax into the fabric. This process takes a few minutes and can be repeated as often as desired. Especially before trips, this treatment provides an additional level of protection against moisture.How to measure correctly
