Waterproofing wax for re-waxing waxed cotton and poly-cotton fabrics.
This high-quality waterproofing wax is produced by a small German specialist in wax products and is based on a blend of beeswax and paraffin. The carefully formulated consistency allows for easy application on various fabrics. Simply rub the wax onto the fabric to be waterproofed, using a circular motion like an eraser, and then heat it with an iron or a hairdryer. The wax will penetrate the fabric, creating a water-repellent layer.
The more evenly the waterproofing wax is applied to the fabric surface, the more uniform the result will be. Repeating the process multiple times leads to a more intense waterproofing effect. However, over time and with use or washing, the wax layer will diminish and occasionally needs to be reapplied. It is recommended to refresh the wax layer before periods of inclement weather or before your next outdoor adventure. Of course, you can also treat only specific parts of a garment. For example, in summer, it can be beneficial to wax only the lower parts of trousers to protect against damp morning dew on grass while leaving the upper areas unwaxed to ensure optimal breathability.
