Warm blankets are always needed! This lovely piece is made from a very high-quality double-faced loden fabric, crafted from 100% Mongolian wool. It is decoratively finished with contrasting edging and generously sized at approximately 1.5 x 2 m. The particularly dense weave and the extra soft nap on both sides make it a cozy and warm throw blanket for many purposes.

Whether you keep the loden blanket in your car and bring it out for picnics or beer garden visits, enjoy its excellent heat-retaining properties on the terrace during mild spring or autumn evenings, or simply have it ready as a fireplace blanket in the living room - you won't be short of uses! Authentic loden!

For our 100% Mongolian wool loden, the surface of the fabric is treated in a specific process. Misleadingly, this process is called "brushing," although the opposite occurs: To achieve an exceptionally soft feel, the surface is treated on both sides with hook-armed rollers that lift the wool fibers, increasing the volume of the fabric. This creates a natural insulation layer through the resulting air pockets, further enhancing the warming effect of the loden.

Clean craftsmanship!

We have provided the rounded outer edges of the blanket with a decorative contrasting stitch. By the way, the resilient loden fabric can handle quite a bit of dirt: Most dirt, such as soil, can be easily brushed off after drying.

Mongolian wool

Pure Mongolian wool is particularly soft and warming. Additionally, it is undyed. The coarse outer hair of the sheep is used for the production of carpets and sturdy felt, while the fine undercoat, with a fineness comparable to cashmere, serves as the raw material for our wool blanket. The mulesing-free wool is processed purely mechanically, without any chemical additives. The yarn is spun in a German spinning mill in Brandenburg, and the weaving and finishing up to the final blanket are done in the Tirschenreuth textile factory in Bavaria.
