A versatile pair of pants for various outdoor activities
Whether for hiking, camping, bushcrafting, hunting, fishing, or simply for leisure activities, the Wanderbux pants are extremely versatile. Their comfortable cut provides freedom of movement, and the external pockets (two open front and back pockets, as well as two closable flat zippered side pockets) offer ample space for equipment. The ergonomically shaped knee section features a double layer of fabric for added protection and durability. The belt loops can accommodate belts up to 4 cm wide, such as our "Unverwüstling" leather belt. The pants are closed with a zipper and metal button. The Wanderbux pants come with extra-long legs, allowing you to adjust them to your perfect individual length either by yourself or at any alteration tailor for a small fee. After all, there's nothing better than a well-fitting pair of pants for hiking!
In the warmer months, this high-quality fabric combination brings another important advantage: breathability and comfortable wear in hot temperatures. Additionally, Polycotton is machine washable up to 40°C. However, there is a wide range of quality when it comes to this material, from cheap and less durable options to long-lasting qualities made from high-quality yarns and uniform, dense weaving. We use selected quality Polycotton from European production.
By the way, any impregnation always has an impact on the breathability of the fabric. If you only want protection against wet morning dew on meadows, it makes sense to apply the impregnation only to the lower leg sections while maintaining optimal breathability. For longer trekking tours, a complete impregnation for maximum rain protection would be preferable. But that's the beauty of waxing: You can decide for yourself what is suitable based on the specific conditions.

A shirt can be worn underneath since it will also be tucked into the pants. If you don't have a measuring tape, a string that can be marked and then measured with a ruler will suffice.

PFC-free water-repellent pre-impregnation
The fabric is pre-treated with a PFC-free water-repellent impregnation. PFC-free treatments are environmentally friendly as they do not leave non-degradable residues in nature, but they need to be refreshed occasionally. We recommend re-impregnation with a wax block and heat, such as our Dr. Gees Impregnating Wax. Simply rub the wax onto the fabric like an eraser and use a low-temperature iron to liquefy and incorporate it into the fabric. This process takes a few minutes and can be repeated as desired.
