Waldkauz presents: The "Kaiser & Kinder" keychain

We rarely showcase products from other manufacturers, but the story behind this keychain is so charming that we gladly make an exception. This small "family startup" reminds us strongly of our own first steps:

The Kaiser family from Wildeshausen has always enjoyed creative craftsmanship, and during the pre-Christmas season of 2020, they created a particularly lovely gift for their hunting friends. Father Markus and his children Lousann and Lennart transformed old shotgun shells into elegant and robust keychains using leather and brass binding screws.

This spontaneous idea soon led to the next one, as the interest in these stylish pieces quickly spread beyond their circle of friends. With the help of their father, the Kaiser children promptly established a small company and began producing the keychains in small batches. Every detail, from polishing the shell bottoms to the high-quality brass binding screws and the ribbon that wraps around the small gift packaging, has been carefully selected and coordinated. In choosing the materials, they aimed to find local suppliers and avoid generating unnecessary waste. The children also learned a great deal about sustainability, the value of materials, and pricing calculations.

The keychains are completely handmade in their own workshop, thoroughly inspected for quality, and lovingly packaged. When the small company makes a profit, it goes entirely to Markus Kaiser's children, as he wants to impart values to them and encourage their creativity and independence, as he writes to us.
There is little more to add to this heartfelt story!
