Loden hideout blanket with versatile applications
The special feature of the Waldkauz hideout blanket is the combination of loden blanket and weather cape. With a concealed zipper sewn in, the comfortable blanket for hideouts can be quickly transformed into a cape that can be worn open or closed, providing an optimal climate for the hunter.
In typical Waldkauz fashion, this high-quality loden blanket goes beyond its normal function as a warm blanket for hideouts. We have added a special twist to it: A concealed two-way zipper has been integrated from one edge to the middle area. For example, you can open it from the middle and wear it as a closed weather cape or pull it over your head as a weather cape. If it gets too warm under the extra fluffy loden, you can also open the zipper from the edge of the blanket to any desired extent and have a breezy cloak. During hideouts, you have the choice of whether to wrap the hideout blanket around your body or wear it as a classic weather cape. You will quickly appreciate the advantages of the cape variation during stalking, duck hunting, or on the driven hunt stand. And if it gets too warm during stalking, a nearly silent pull of the zipper quickly opens the cape, allowing fresh air in. Additionally, it eliminates the need to store a bulky hideout blanket in your hunting backpack or bag. The hideout blanket's versatility in many situations even replaces the hunting jacket or loden coat or complements these garments as an additional "layering" option.
The hideout blanket is made from the finest loden in our workshop. For this 100% virgin wool product, the surface is fluffed up to create a softer texture. This not only makes the blanket softer but also provides better insulation by creating a better air cushion. Its generous size of 200 x 150 cm allows for comfortable wrapping and ample coverage of the body when used as a weather cape or poncho.
Of course, it is also wonderfully suitable as a picnic blanket. With the optional leather carrying strap, it can be conveniently secured and transported. It is a matter of course for us to handcraft the loden blanket and pay special attention to the quality of craftsmanship.
