The Silent Binocular Protection

Those who venture outdoors in rain and snow are familiar with the problem: When a quick look through the binoculars becomes necessary, it is often discovered that raindrops have collected on the eyepieces, obstructing the view and potentially affecting the hunting experience. While conventional protective caps can provide a solution if they stay in place properly, they have one significant drawback: When looking through the binoculars, they tend to hang in front of the mouth or nose. Exhaled breath, especially in cold weather, causes turbulence and causes the eyepieces to fog up. The Waldkauz binocular protection puts an end to this frustration. The eyepieces are covered by a soft leather flap, providing optimal protection against all types of precipitation. At the outer end of the protective flap, a thin lead hem is incorporated to securely hold the flap over the eyepiece. With a small flick of the wrist, the hem swings forward, silently revealing the optics without requiring the hand to be removed from the binoculars. The eyepiece protection is held by a felt cover that covers the body of the binoculars on the upper side and is pulled onto the binoculars using elastic straps. The felt provides additional protection against mechanical impact and prevents unintentional rattling against other objects.

Binocular Protection "Universal"

For all hunting binoculars that the other two models do not fit, there is a universally applicable protective flap that is simply attached to the eyepieces using two rubber loops. It is independent of the design of the binoculars. It is suitable, for example, for all porro prism binoculars (the classic field glasses) such as the Swarovski Habicht or the Night Hunter Xtreme by Steiner.
