Super warm and wonderfully soft: Our STEINKAUZ loden blanket

Made from our loden fleece, which we also use in the loden fleece jackets URS and ADELE, this pleasantly warm and soft blanket is crafted in a generous size of about 1.5 x 2 m. The particularly dense construction and the extra soft processed nap on both sides make it a snugly warm throw for many purposes. Whether you keep the loden blanket in the car and bring it out for picnics or beer garden visits, enjoy its great warmth properties on your own terrace on mild spring or autumn evenings, or simply have it ready as a fireplace blanket in the living room – there will be no shortage of uses!

Not a fleece blanket - but real loden!

Our loden fleece blanket has nothing in common with fleece except for the name component: While conventional fleece is made from plastic, this is a pure natural product. For our loden fleece made from 100% virgin wool, the surface of the loden is specially treated: Misleadingly, this process is called "raising," although the opposite happens: To achieve an especially soft feel, the surface is treated on both sides with rollers equipped with hooks that pull the wool fibers on the surface upwards, thus increasing the volume of the fabric. The air cushion thus created forms a natural insulating layer that further enhances the warming effect of the loden.

Neatly crafted!

We have protected the outer edge of the blanket with a cotton piping. The practical and pretty carrying strap made of genuine leather wraps the blanket into a compact roll that can be wonderfully stored in the car or next to the sofa. Incidentally, the resilient loden can also withstand a lot of dirt: Contaminants like earth can usually be brushed out easily after drying.
