Adjustable lead or leash "Schlendrian", length 250 cm
The lead or leash is the all-purpose tool for dog training, daily walks, as well as field work, making it the most important tool for the dog handler.It has a total length of approximately 250 cm and can be adjusted to different sizes using the two brass rings in combination with the carabiner hooks. The two rings are positioned at different distances from the carabiners at the ends of the leash, allowing for lengths of approximately 150, 180, 195, and 215 cm, and corresponding hand and shoulder loop circumferences of approximately 35, 55, 105, and 145 cm.
The "Schlendrian" leash is made of double-layered, stitched webbing. The ends, where a carabiner is attached, as well as the holders of the brass rings, are reinforced with oiled nubuck leather, stitched, and additionally secured with rivets for maximum stability. The transition to the leash is stitched with a trim of oiled nubuck leather and further secured with a stabilizing rivet.
The carabiners, as well as the rings, are made of solid brass and manufactured using the sand casting process. Full brass carabiners are very sturdy and more resistant than inexpensive alternatives made of injection-molded materials, which is why they also perform reliably in significantly more delicate sizes. They quickly lose their initial shine and develop a high-quality, matte brass patina within a few days.
