Much like certain mythical creatures, we would love to wear a shirt on the hunt that makes us invisible. It may not be as perfect as Alberich the dwarf from the Nibelung saga or some hobbits or wizard apprentices, but some camouflage clothing can appear quite threatening or even militant to our fellow humans in the woods and fields. That's why, at WALDKAUZ, we worked long and hard to develop a camouflage pattern that makes the human silhouette harder to detect for wildlife while looking civilian and non-military.
The "Verschwindibus" lives up to its name
Our newly developed Tarnkauz© camouflage pattern plays with the interplay of a naturally colored background and the diffuse outline of branches, making the hunter's contours blur. Together with the traditional, family-run textile and knitting company FRAAS from Franconia, we developed a Jacquard loden from this pattern. This loden stands out not only for its natural-looking camouflage but also for its light and soft quality, as we use only Merino yarns that provide an exceptionally soft wearing comfort. And incidentally, the fabric is once again "Made in Germany."
Perfect wearing comfort from spring to autumn
The relatively light Merino loden is ideal for the transitional and warmer seasons, worn over a shirt or t-shirt. Even in the colder seasons, the jacket serves as an "undercoat" beneath a proper winter jacket, keeping you reliably warm in accordance with the layering principle.
Features
The "Verschwindibus" hunting jacket has four outer pockets, two on the belly and two at chest level, all of which can be closed with zippers. The breathable mesh lining of the belly pockets also creates two additional open internal pockets. The 2-way front zipper transitions into a stand-up collar, providing a windproof seal at the neck and relieving the hem when sitting. The use of raglan sleeves ensures a particularly comfortable fit and good freedom of movement.
Loden is sustainable
Wool is a renewable raw material and biodegradable. As a pure natural fiber, it does not remain in the ecosystem and therefore causes no harm. Our loden is made in Germany, not only fairly produced but also meeting the highest quality standards. It complies with the Oeko-Tex 100 standard and is mulesing-free.
Fit information
New to the Verschwindibus is the way the sleeves are set. They are designed as raglan sleeves, providing additional freedom of movement, making the jacket particularly comfortable to wear during stalking.
